Solitaire (Continental Records Services) is Ted Russell Kamp’s 13th full-length album. It consists of fourteen songs recorded mostly alone at home during the last nine months of the lockdown. The songs and overall feel of the album have a more intimate and singer-songwriter quality. The music on Solitaire is 90% Kamp as he plays a majority of the instruments on the album but he has again collaborated with several artists and friends known in the Americana genre, but this time remotely.

Here is a selection of how the European press thinks about Ted’s new release Solitaire:
Keys and Chords (BE)
“Ted Russell Kamp’s sound creates an intimate setting, a sound palette that is also reflected his solo performances. You don’t have to teach Ted Russel Kamp how to keep the attention. This album is full of divergent music.” 5 star review
“Meanwhile, Ted Russell Kamp has found his own, very personal niche in the busy basin of Americana, roots music or the singer-songwriter-metric. With “Solitaire” Ted Russell Kamp has released a great album. Just over fifty-two minutes of best entertaining Americana, Roots-Music, and singer-songwriter music.”
Johnny’s Garden (NL)
“The fourteen new songs can all be called artisanal. Conventionally performed, but extremely listenable, songs with a head and a tail. Music that manages to create a nice mood. Like its predecessor, Solitaire is a record with little to nothing to note. Ted Russell Kamp has once again done its best to support its audience.”
Concert Monkey (BE)
“Ted Russell has a very pleasant voice and he knows how to sing his stories with a lot of feeling and conviction. DownSolitaire, the thirteenth album by Ted Russell Kamp, is a worthy successor to the 2020 album Down In The Den”
Alt-Country Forum (NL)
“More intimate than previous work this will no doubt be a strong contender in the Euro Americana Charts again.”
