Tomorrow we hope to make you excited about the release of Jennifer Porter’s brand new album called “Sun Come and Shine”. Sun shines on multi-talented artist Jennifer Porter’s newest release, which she recorded with R&B legend, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie. Jennifer Porter has always followed her artistic inspirations wherever they have led. This time they piloted her to the court of R&B this royalty.
The stellar band assembled by Mr. Purdie included George Naha on guitar (Wilson Pickett, Sam, and Dave), and Wilbur Bascombe on bass (James Brown, B.B King, Bo Diddley), and Miho Nobuzane (Martha Reeves and the Vandellas) who shared keyboard duties with Jennifer. Esteemed guest artists on the project include Grammy-winners Christian McBride and Cindy Cashdollar and Grammy nominees, Ron Paparozzi and Jennifer’s friend, C.J. Chenier. The band was joined by horn players Steve Jankowski (Blood Sweat And Tears, Chicago) and Tom Timko (Blood Sweat And Tears, Tower Of Power) on several songs.
SUN COME AND SHINE includes ten songs, nine of them originals by Jennifer. The album was mixed by the talented Jonathan Wyman, and mastered by multiple Grammy-winner Adam Ayan. SUN COME AND SHINE will be released under Porter’s own label, Cougar Moon Music.

This is what the European press already had to say about Jennifer Porter’s new album Sun Come and Shine:
From the opening track, Sun Come and Shine to the tenth song I’ll Be Here, continuous enjoyment of exquisite melodies is sealed from piano sounds by Porter herself combined with her sweetly decorated voice. An album that’s a harbinger of a beautiful free summer. Let the sun come and enjoy the voice of Jennifer Porter.
This atmospheric record by Jennifer Porter seems to us especially suitable to be played in the late hours with some cozy twilight light and a glass of wine for you and your beloved in your arms. The romance and conviviality radiate from several songs such as the classical-sounding “Bitter New York Night” and the intimate album ending and piano ballad “I’ll Be Here” that evokes memories of the best work of Norah Jones.
You stay “under the spell” of Jennifer Porter on the entire album, after which we take a deep bow.

Sun Come And Shine’ is more than a fantastic album. Jennifer’s heavenly voice, her beautiful compositions, the detailed arrangements, and the personal twist she manages to give to rhythm & blues, blues, and soul, distinguish her from many artists. It is high time for this lady to break through internationally.
