Happy release day Steal The Wind by Joe Vestich

Steal The Wind is Joe Vestich newest afford, which front cover should remind the most 65+ lads under us on the American western movies and TV series from the ’60s and ’70s like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Virginian. Actors stood and performed in front of stage sets like painted or printed images of mountains and lakes. It is Joe Vestich’s visual conception, for most Europeans, this record will be a listening and learning experience on what Joe recorded in Finland, Florida, and Texas, USA. The finest roots, Americana, and rock n’ roll, blues topped with a breeze of traditional country music.

Joe Vestich is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist living, performing, writing, and recording for more than 35 years in Finland. Joe is proud to claim his ethnic roots in Croatia, but started his musical career at the age of 9, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Together with his brother Mark, they formed, in 1979, the country-rock band The Vestich Brothers. They became world-famous throughout western Pennsylvania with their live album Live At Wolfendales.

Steal The Wind was produced by Texas Music Association Producer of the Year awarded by John Inmon. Inmon worked with Jerry Jeff Walker, Townes Van Zandt, Delbert McClinton, and Omar & the Howlers. Playing pedal steel guitar on this record is Grammy Award, Winner Lloyd Maines. The Finnish crew was lined up with some of the country’s most successful, top-quality musicians in the roots, rock n’ roll scene. With the release of Steal The Wind, new doors are opening as a promotional tour has been planned for Spring 2022 with the core band from the studio sessions, plus featured guest artists.

The musicians with who Joe works throughout the year on most of his full band performances consisting of Kalle Alatalo, Ville Rauhala, and Juppo Paavola provided a solid foundation to build upon, and an array of master instrumentalists and singers delivered the spice and décor to the album. The technical and artistic genius, Kari “Junnu” Luukkonen engineered the recording sessions at Headline Studios in Tampere, Finland.
