We are excited to announce the release of Two River Crossing by Chris Murphy. The EP will be released on October 15, 2022. Born into an Irish-Italian family near New York City, Murphy was influenced by Italian mandolin, bluegrass, folk, and Latin music. Now based in Los Angeles, Chris Murphy has made a living by writing, performing, and recording original music. Throughout his 30-year career, Chris has released an extensive catalog of 18 solo albums, with an additional 20 collaborative albums as a musician and producer.
Two Rivers Crossing, the nineteenth solo album from Chris Murphy is a six-track EP comprised of lyrical themes of love, loss, redemption, hope, and fear infused with his soulful voice and signature style of Americana folk violin. Murphy was inspired at an early age by the Mississippi Delta blues music of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, and that influence can be heard throughout Two Rivers Crossing. This album stands out from others because Murphy has captured the magic of his solo show. In contrast with Murphy’s album SOVEREIGN (2021) featuring over twenty-five legendary guest musicians, Two Rivers Crossing is a one-man show with Chris performing all instruments and vocals himself. The first single, Early Grave, was released on June 4th, 2022 in coincide with his successful UK Summer Tour.
